Paul Brown is Of Counsel to Amin Talati & Upadhye's Patent Practice Group.  Mr. Brown is a registered patent attorney and has an extensive background in the field of chemistry, metallurgy, and physics. Mr. Brown has over 40 years of experience practicing in intellectual property law.

His legal experience includes trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, unfair competition and related UCC issues. Mr. Brown’s practical experience includes client counseling, monitoring of client's outside counsel, product development and patent design around, technology transfers, patent prosecutions, interferences, reexaminations, reissues, due diligence, licensing and litigation.

Mr. Brown has been the lead attorney in a variety of intellectual property litigation having practiced in front of a variety of Federal district and appellate courts. He has also made numerous presentations on a variety of intellectual property topics and was the senior partner of Emrich & Dithmar, one of the oldest intellectual property firms in Chicago, which ceased operations in 2007.
